Action tremor of the legs in essential tremor : prevalence, clinical correlates, and comparison with age-matched controls [PDF]
The hallmark feature of essential tremor (ET) is action tremor of the arms. Leg tremor may also occur yet it has not been the central focus of previous studies. Its prevalence has only rarely been reported, its clinical correlates have yet to be explored.

Nonlinear interactions in the thalamocortical loop in essential tremor: A model-based frequency domain analysis. [PDF]
There is increasing evidence to suggest that essential tremor has a central origin. Different structures appear to be part of the central tremorogenic network, including the motor cortex, the thalamus and the cerebellum.

Cerebral differences between dopamine-resistant and dopamine-responsive Parkinson's tremor.
Rest tremor in Parkinson's disease is related to cerebral activity in both the basal ganglia and a cerebello-thalamo-cortical circuit. Clinically, there is strong interindividual variation in the therapeutic response of tremor to dopaminergic medication.

The Problem of Questionable Dystonia in the Diagnosis of ‘Essential Tremor-Plus’
In a recent consensus statement on tremor, the task force of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society proposed a new term, ‘essential tremor-plus (ET-plus)’ which includes patients with the characteristics of essential tremor (ET) and ...

Data from a prospective cohort with 112 auditory brainstem implant users are analyzed. Younger age at implantation (<3 years), less severe inner‐ear malformation (common cavity, cochlear aplasia, and hypoplasia), and more intraoperative eABR evoked electrodes (≥60%) are associated with better hearing and speech outcomes.

Clinical Differentiation of Essential Tremor and Parkinson's Disease
We present clinical features and tremor characterization in a patient with Parkinson's disease (PD) as well as in two cases of essential tremor (ET) with some parkinsonian features but no evidence of dopaminergic terminal loss on 123 I-FP-CIT Single ...
