Head‐to‐Head Comparison of Four Ultrasound Elastography Techniques in Detecting Advanced Fibrosis
Elastography is an important noninvasive method for diagnosing advanced fibrosis (AF); however, evidence remains insufficient, particularly regarding acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) techniques. This prospective mulitcenter study concludes that vibration controlled transient elastography (VCTE) demonstrates superior diagnostic performance to ...

Endogenous tRNA-derived fragments suppress breast cancer progression via YBX1 displacement
SUMMARY Upon exposure to stress, tRNAs are enzymatically cleaved, yielding distinct classes of tRNA-derived fragments (tRFs). We identify a novel class of tRFs derived from tRNAGlu, tRNAAsp, tRNAGly, and tRNATyr that, upon induction, suppress the ...

The introduction of adaptive parameter tuning in the numerical weather prediction models of DWD in 2022 substantially improved the forecast quality of near‐surface variables like 2‐m temperature and 2‐m humidity. Since 2023, refinements and extensions, primarily affecting the surface evaporation and its diurnal cycle, have led to further advances ...

Abstract Introduction: This study explores the relationship between the expression levels of two tRNA-derived fragments, tRF-17-79MP9PP and tRF-18-79MP9P04, and the pathophysiology of prostate cancer (PCa). Material and methods A total of 40 patients were included: 8 with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and 32 with varying PCa grades.

TRF Test in Patients with Hypothalamic-Pituitary Disorders
TRF test with 50-100μg of synthetic TRF was performed in 57 patients with hypothalamic-pituitary disorders. According to the degree and the pattern of TSH response, they were classified as an absent, subnormal, normal or supernormal response and/or delayed pattern of TSH response.

ABSTRACT Secondary microplastics (MPs) from single‐use consumer products are rapidly becoming one of the most persistent and widespread pollutants of our time. Freshwater systems act as early sinks for MPs where fragmentation and additive leaching expose aquatic life to a broad spectrum of toxic compounds.
