Amino oxidase from trigonella foenum-graecum seedlings

Phytochemistry, 1995
Abstract Amine oxidase was isolated from eight-day-old Trigonella foenum-graecum seedlings grown in the dark, using rivanol lactate and ammonium sulphate fractionations, heat denaturation and hydroxylapatite chromatography. The yellow enzyme is a monomer M r of 80 000 with pI 6.8, A rmmax at 280 nm and a shoulder at 415 nm.

Two furostanol saponins from Trigonella foenum-graecum

Phytochemistry, 1986
Abstract Two new furostanol glycosides, trigofoenosides B and C, have been isolated from the Trigonella foenum-graecum seeds as their methyl ethers, B-1 and C-1 respectively. Their structures have been determined as (25 S )-22- O -methyl-5α-furostane-2α,3β,26-triol-3- O -α- l -rhamnopyranosyl(1 → 4)-β- d -glucopyranoside 26- O -β- d ...

Antidiabetic Activities of Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) Seeds

2011
Publisher Summary This chapter highlights the anti-diabetic functions of fenugreek seeds. Various constituents of fenugreek seed are responsible for hypoglycemic activity, one of them being fenugreek galactomannan. Fenugreek galactomannan is one of the constituents of fenugreek seed, and shows promising antidiabetic properties.
