Convenient procedures for the synthesis of new organophosphorus-substituted mono- and bis(trimethylsilyl)amines with PCH2N moiety are proposed, starting from trimethylsilyl esters of organophosphorus acids, as well as 1,3,5-trialkylhexahydro-1,3,5 ...

Hexakis(trimethylsilyl)-2-butyne by trimethylsilylation of hexachloro-1,3-butadiene
Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1968Abstract Lithium (or sodium) chlorotrimethylsilane and hexachlorobutadiene in THF give hexakis(trimethylsilyl)-2-butyne in good yields. Some chemical properties of this sterically hindered compound are described. In contrast, magnesium under similar conditions gives bis(trimethylsilyl)butadiyne; whereas barium fails to react.

1‐Heteroakylation of tris(trimethylsilyl)phosphine
, 2010The 1-heteroalkylation of the tris-(trimethylsilyl)phosphine was thoroughly investigated using heterosubstituted methylamines, chloromethyl alkyl ethers, methyl chloroformate, paraformaldehyde, and dialkylformamides.
