Medicinal chemistry perspectives of trioxanes and tetraoxanes.

Current Medicinal Chemistry, 2011
Trioxane based compounds such as artemisinin and its synthetic and semi-synthetic analogues constitute promising class of antimalarial agents. The pharmaceutical development of artemisinin was started in 1971 after the isolation from Chinese medicinal ...

Copolymers of trioxane and butylglycidylether

Acta Polymerica, 1989
AbstractThe conversion of the comonomer mixture of trioxane and butylglycidylether at cationic copolymerization in nitrobenzene was investigated. A dependence of the alkali and thermal stability of the copolymers on the content of the butylglycidylether units incorporated in the copolymer chain and on the molecular mass of the copolymer was established.

Copolymerization of trioxane with phenylglycidylether

Journal of Polymer Science Part A: Polymer Chemistry, 1988
AbstractThis study deals with the regularities and peculiarities of the copolymerization of trioxane (TO) and phenylglycidylether (PhGE) in nitrobenzene catalyzed by the cationic initiator BF3Et2O. The additions of PhGE were varied in wide bounds from 5 up to 50 mol %.

Solid‐state polymerization of trioxane

Journal of Polymer Science Part A: General Papers, 1965
AbstractTrioxane has been polymerized by irradiation with Co60 γ‐rays in the temperature range 45–55°C. The data are extremely difficult to reproduce in spite of great precautions in sample preparation. The reaction reaches a limiting conversion, generally about 40%, but conversions as high as 96% have been observed.

The polymerization of crystalline trioxane. II. experiments with irradiated trioxane (and tetraoxane) calculation of the crystal field of trioxane

Philosophical Magazine, 1966
Abstract The physics of the polymerization of irradiated trioxane crystals have been studied experimentally and theoretically. A geometrical comparison of the monomer and polymer crystal lattices suggests that growth of the polymer twins must occur in a synchronized fashion. The crystal field in the polar trioxane lattice has been calculated.
