Polymerisation von Trioxan

Angewandte Chemie, 1967

Domino Self-Sensitized Photooxygenation of Conjugated Dienones for the Synthesis of 1,2,4-Trioxanes.

Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2019
The photochemical behavior of several dienones was studied under aerobic conditions. 2-Allylidene-1,3-cycloalkanediones prepared via Knoevenagel-type condensation between simple readily available 1,3-dicarbonyl substrates and α,β-unsaturated aldehydes ...

Vibrational Spectra of Trioxane and Trioxane-d6

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1966
The infrared spectra of trioxane and trioxane-d6 have been measured in the region from 4000 to 300 cm−1 on the gaseous, solution, liquid, and solid samples. Polarized spectra have been taken on the oriented thin layer of crystal grown between NaCl or KBr plates. Group-theoretical analyses were made for a free molecule (point group C3v) and the crystal (

Synthesis of 1,2,4-trioxans

Journal of the Chemical Society, Chemical Communications, 1981
The reaction of a mixture of α-hydroxydecyl hydroperoxide [or bis(α-hydroxyalkyl) peroxides] and epoxides in the presence of tungstic anhydride and catalytic amounts ofchlorosulphonic acid gave the corresponding 1,2,4-trioxans in 7–63% yield.

1,2,4-Trioxanes as potential antimalarial agents

Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 1988
A number of 1,2,4-trioxanes were prepared and tested for antimalarial activity in search of a simplified analogue of the naturally occurring antimalarial qinghaosu. The compounds were assayed in an in vitro system for antimalarial activity against chloroquine-susceptible and chloroquine-resistant strains of Plasmodium falciparum.

New Trioxane Copolymers

Journal of Macromolecular Science: Part A - Chemistry, 1972
Abstract A review is given on two types of trioxane copolymers: trioxane/dioxolane copolymers and copolymers of trioxane with polar monomers. It has been possible to find reaction conditions that influence the transacetalization reaction and, hence, the molecular weight distribution and the sequence length of trioxane/dioxolane copolymers.

The polymerization of crystalline trioxane. III. experiments with irradiated trioxane single crystals

Philosophical Magazine, 1966
Abstract Irradiation with x-rays imparts to trioxane crystals a perennial capacity for later polymerization to high conversion. This capacity remains latent at room temperature, but becomes manifest above a threshold temperature varying with the history of the crystal (40–55°c).
