トリオキサンにテトラブロムメタンをトリオキサンに対して0.001~1.0%添加し,蒸留するか,または加熱溶融するとトリオキサン重合物を得る。種々の条件で重合を試みた結果,トリオキサンに0.2wt%のテトラブロムメタンを混合し,85℃に10分間,ついで50℃で6時間加熱重合させると62%の収率で[η]1.5の重合物を得ることができた。また,この重合反応は,常に臭化水素の発生を伴い,窒素気流中,あるいはトルエン,水の添加で反応を行なうと重合は起こらず,同時に臭化水素の発生もなくなる。水素化カルシウム,炭酸カルシウムを添加して,この反応を行なうと,臭化水素は臭化カルシウムとなり,重合は起こらない。その他の多くの実験事実から,本重合はトリオキサンを空気中でテトラブロムメタンと加熱すると ...
