Semi‐Automated μCT‐Based Modeling of Vertebral Bony Endplate Microporosity and Mechanical Properties: Linking Microstructure to Inferred Mechanical Performance

open access: yesJOR SPINE, Volume 9, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The vertebral bony endplate (BEP) plays a role in regulating both mechanical load transfer and nutrient transport to the intervertebral disc, functions strongly influenced by its microstructural porosity. Variations in porosity impact bone strength, elasticity, and solute diffusion, affecting its overall mechanical competence ...

Unidirectional Evaporation‐Induced Tunable and Continuous Gradient Composite Structure for Absorption‐Dominant Electromagnetic Interference Shielding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 45, 13 August 2026.
A continuous conductivity gradient is formed in a porous MXene/melamine foam via directional evaporation, thereby improving impedance matching and enhancing electromagnetic attenuation. The resulting monolithic composite delivers absorption‐dominant EMI shielding with ultralow reflection, offering a simple route toward lightweight EMI shielding ...

Study on the Energy Absorption Performance of Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) Structures at Different Load-Bearing Angles

open access: yesBiomimetics
As engineering demands for structural energy absorption intensify, triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) structures, known for their light weight and exceptional energy absorption, are increasingly valued in aerospace, automotive, and shipping engineering. In this study, the energy absorption performance of three typical TPMS structures was evaluated (

ABHD17C‐Mediated S‐Depalmitoylation of BCL6B Enhances CD24 Transcription to Resist Macrophage Phagocytosis in Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 45, 13 August 2026.
ABHD17C‐mediated depalmitoylation of BCL6B at Cys442 blocks its nuclear import and triggers ubiquitin‐dependent degradation, attenuating transcriptional repression of the anti‐phagocytic signal CD24. This mechanism enables pancreatic cancer cells to evade macrophage phagocytosis and fosters an immunosuppressive microenvironment.
