ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

The Acute Responses of Different-sized Coronary Arteries to Testosterone [PDF]
Coronary arteries supply blood to the myocardium. The blood flow within the coronary arteries is altered by various compounds produced within the body. Sex hormones such as testosterone are known to cause the relaxation of large coronary arteries.

This study optimizes a two‐step induction system to generate PGCLCs from chicken ESCs. The induced cells express germline markers and migrate to gonads in ovo, offering a novel approach for avian genetic resource conservation. Primordial germ cells (PGCs) are the progenitor cells of sperm and eggs.

Insight of PBZ mediated drought amelioration in crop plants
Water scarcity is a significant environmental limitation to plant productivity as drought-induced crop output losses are likely to outnumber losses from all other factors.

Induction of diabetes in three different mouse strains uniformly resulted in an increase in TNAP activity and a reduction in pyrophosphate (PPi) in the circulation. Inhibition of TNAP restored plasma PPi. Diabetes‐induced calcification in the media layer of the aorta was detected only in the Abcc6−/− strain, which is predisposed to ectopic ...

Nucleic acids in inclusion bodies obtained from E. coli cells expressing human interferon-gamma
Background Inclusion bodies (IBs) are protein aggregates in recombinant bacterial cells containing mainly the target recombinant protein. Although it has been shown that IBs contain functional proteins along with protein aggregates, their direct ...

Incubation temperature affects type X collagen expression in embryonic ducks [PDF]
Optimal temperature regulation is an important component of avian incubation and the process of embryonic development can be accelerated by even small increases in incubation temperature.

Background According to mRNA microarray, proteomics and other studies, biological abnormalities of eutopic endometrium (EM) are involved in the pathogenesis of endometriosis, but the relationship between mRNA and protein expression in EM is not clear. We
