Spontaneous transitions of actin-bound tropomyosin toward blocked and closed states
&NA; After muscle contraction, myosin cross‐bridge heads detach from thin actin filaments during relaxation. Structural and kinetic data of cross‐bridge‐thin filament interactions have shown that tropomyosin's position on F‐actin is biased toward the ...

Birefringence of tropomyosin crystals
The birefringence of tropomyosin crystals was measured in the temperature range 5 degrees-35 degrees C. The experimental results are compared with a simple model calculation based on the theory developed by Wiener for the optical properties of colloidal systems.

Mutation update and genotype-phenotype correlations of novel and previously described mutations in TPM2 and TPM3 causing congenital myopathies [PDF]
Mutations affecting skeletal muscle isoforms of the tropomyosin genes may cause nemaline myopathy, cap myopathy, core-rod myopathy, congenital fiber-type disproportion, distal arthrogryposes, and Escobar syndrome.

Insect‐Derived Bioactives for Glycemic Control and Gut Health: A Review
Insect‐derived bioactive compounds (e.g., peptides, polysaccharides) effectively regulate blood glucose through dual mechanisms: directly inhibiting carbohydrate‐digesting enzymes and glucose transporters, and indirectly modulating gut microbiota to enhance intestinal barrier integrity.

In this review, agents such baicalein, troxerutin, epigallocatechin gallate, quercetin, melatonin, valproic acid, lithium, neurosteroid progesterone, as well as minocycline have been implicated as neuroprotective agents for irradiation‐induced neurological deficits. Also, agents such as glucocorticoids, methylphenidate, vitamin E, bisdemethoxycurcumin,

Role of noncoding RNA in vascular remodelling [PDF]
Purpose of review: Noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs), such as microRNAs (miRNAs) and long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are becoming fundamentally important in the pathophysiology relating to injury-induced vascular remodelling.

Specificity of dimer formation in tropomyosins: influence of alternatively spliced exons on homodimer and heterodimer assembly [PDF]
Tropomyosins consist of nearly 100% alpha-helix and assemble into parallel and in-register coiled-coil dimers. In vitro it has been established that nonmuscle as well as native muscle tropomyosins can form homodimers.
