Binding of smoothelin-like 1 to tropomyosin and calmodulin is mutually exclusive and regulated by phosphorylation [PDF]
BACKGROUND: The smoothelin-like 1 protein (SMTNL1) can associate with tropomyosin (Tpm) and calmodulin (CaM), two proteins essential to the smooth muscle contractile process.

The findings suggest that light‐intensity exercise restores gastrocnemius muscle‐derived exosomal miR‐200a‐3p levels, improving spatial memory and hippocampal Mct2 mRNA levels in ob/ob mice, a type 2 diabetes model. Additionally, miR‐200a‐3p mimic injections alleviated memory dysfunction and replicated exercise‐induced hippocampal RNA changes.

NTRK-rearranged spindle cell tumor with SPECC1L-NTRK3 fusion in the thoracic spine: a case report
Neurotrophic Tyrosine Receptor Kinase (NTRK)-rearranged spindle cell tumors are a category of soft tissue tumors characterized by rearrangements of the NTRK gene family (NTRK1, NTRK2, and NTRK3), which leads to distinct molecular genetics, morphological,

A behind-the-scenes role of BDNF in the survival and differentiation of spermatogonia
Mouse spermatogenesis entails the maintenance and self-renewal of spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs), which require a complex web-like signaling network transduced by various cytokines.

Hey1- and p53-dependent TrkC proapoptotic activity controls neuroblastoma growth.
The neurotrophin-3 (NT-3) receptor tropomyosin receptor kinase C (TrkC/NTRK3) has been described as a dependence receptor and, as such, triggers apoptosis in the absence of its ligand NT-3.
