This research identified cardiac amyloid pathology, neurotrophic factor depletion, and reduced myocardial nerve function in a transgenic model of cerebral amyloidosis (Tg2576), Aβ‐challenged cardiomyocytes, and in human AD heart tissue. These findings carry significant diagnostic and therapeutic implications, emphasizing the role of neuro‐signaling ...

Tropomyosin Receptor Kinase B Expressed in Oligodendrocyte Lineage Cells Functions to Promote Myelin Following a Demyelinating Lesion [PDF]
The levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in the corpus callosum have previously been shown to have a critical impact on oligodendrocyte (OLG) lineage cells during cuprizone-elicited demyelination. In particular, BDNF+/- mice exhibit greater losses in myelin protein levels compared to wild-type mice after cuprizone.

This review redefines the carotid bulb (CB) as a variable geometric dilation shaped by hemodynamics and the carotid sinus (CS) as a conserved neurohistological baroreceptor field. Distinguishing these entities clarifies a century of anatomical confusion and links geometry, neurohistology, and clinical interpretation within a unified framework ...

Crosstalk Between Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor And N-Methyl-D-Aspartate Receptor Signaling In Neurons [PDF]
Glutamate is the major excitatory neurotransmitter in brain exerting prosurvival effect on neurons via N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) signaling under physiological conditions.

Mechanisms of exercise-induced improvements in the contractile apparatus of the mammalian myocardium [PDF]
One of the main outcomes of aerobic endurance exercise training is the improved maximal oxygen uptake, and this is pivotal to the improved work capacity that follows the exercise training.

Tropomyosin Receptor Kinase Inhibitors for the Treatment of TRK Fusion Cancer
Chromosomal rearrangements of NTRK1–3 resulting in gene fusions (NTRK gene fusions) have been clinically validated as oncogenic drivers in a wide range of human cancers. Typically, NTRK gene fusions involve both inter- and intrachromosomal fusions of the

Potent and rapid activation of tropomyosin-receptor kinase A in endometrial stromal fibroblasts by seminal plasma† [PDF]
Seminal plasma (SP), the liquid fraction of semen, is not mandatory for conception, but clinical studies suggest that SP improves implantation rates. Prior in vitro studies examining the effects of SP on the endometrium, the site of implantation, surprisingly revealed that SP induces transcriptional profiles associated with neurogenesis.
