Heart‐On‐a‐Chip with Integrated Ultrasoft Mechanosensors for Continuous Measurement of Cell‐ and Tissue‐Scale Contractile Stresses

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
We present a heart‐on‐a‐chip platform embedded with ultrasoft mechanosensors for real‐time, multi‐scale stress mapping in engineered cardiac tissues. The system enables simultaneous quantification of local cell‐generated stresses and global tissue contractile forces.

Mesoporous Materials for Electrochemical Biosensors: From Broad Structure to Silica Film

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This review showcases how mesoporous materials advance biosensing, spanning from material classes and fabrication strategies to the unique role of silica films as functional sensing platforms. With tunable porosity, high surface area, and versatile chemistry, these materials enhance selectivity and signal amplification in biosensors.

Beads‐on‐a‐Tip testing for ultrasensitive antigen detection across a large dynamic range

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
Non‐specific adsorption on nitrocellulose membranes limits the sensitivity of conventional lateral flow immunoassays. Here, we present a Beads‐on‐a‐Tip immunoassay that replaces the membrane with magnetic beads for antigen capture and enrichment, while employing upconversion nanoparticles as background‐free luminescent reporters.
