The α‐helix in troponin I (TnI) at the interface with troponin T (TnT) is a highly conserved structure. A point mutation in this region, A116G, was found in human cardiac TnI in a case of cardiomyopathy.

The set of common fixed points of a one-parameter continuous semigroup of mappings is F(T(1)) cap F(T(sqrt 2)) [PDF]
In this paper, we prove the following theorem: Let {T(t) : t >= 0} be a one-parameter continuous semigroup of mappings on a subset C of a Banach space E. The set of fixed points of T(t) is denoted by F(T(t)) for each t >= 0. Then cap_{t >= 0} F(T(t)) = F(T(1)) cap F(T(sqrt 2)) holds. Using this theorem, we discuss convergence theorems to a common fixed

The iterated Aluthge transforms of a matrix converge [PDF]
Given an $r\times r$ complex matrix $T$, if $T=U|T|$ is the polar decomposition of $T$, then, the Aluthge transform is defined by $$ \Delta(T)= |T|^{1/2} U |T |^{1/2}. $$ Let $\Delta^{n}(T)$ denote the n-times iterated Aluthge transform of $T$, i.e. $\Delta^{0}(T)=T$ and $\Delta^{n}(T)=\Delta(\Delta^{n-1}(T))$, $n\in\mathbb{N}$.

The utility of molecularly imprinted polymers for mass spectrometric protein and proteomics analysis
Abstract Selective and efficient sample clean‐up is important in mass spectrometric protein‐ and proteomics analyses from biological matrices. Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs), polymers prepared to have tailor‐made cavities for capture of target analytes may by such represent an interesting alternative for selective clean‐up.

On stability of delay equations with positive and negative coefficients with applications [PDF]
We obtain new explicit exponential stability conditions for linear scalar equations with positive and negative delayed terms $$ \dot{x}(t)+ \sum_{k=1}^m a_k(t)x(h_k(t))- \sum_{k=1}^l b_k(t)x(g_k(t))=0 $$ and its modifications, and apply them to investigate local stability of Mackey--Glass type models $$\dot{x}(t)=r(t)\left[\beta\frac{x(g(t))}{1+x^n(g(t)

Autopsy findings in cases of fatal COVID‐19 vaccine‐induced myocarditis
Abstract COVID‐19 vaccines have been linked to myocarditis, which, in some circumstances, can be fatal. This systematic review aims to investigate potential causal links between COVID‐19 vaccines and death from myocarditis using post‐mortem analysis.

Abstract The X‐linked inherited neuromuscular disorder Duchenne muscular dystrophy is characterised by primary abnormalities in the membrane cytoskeletal component dystrophin. The almost complete absence of the Dp427‐M isoform of dystrophin in skeletal muscles renders contractile fibres more susceptible to progressive degeneration and a leaky ...
