Diffusion-Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Identification of the Epileptogenic Tuber in Patients With Tuberous Sclerosis [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Neurology, 2003
Patients with tuberous sclerosis complex and drug-resistant epilepsy may be considered candidates for epilepsy surgery. This demands the unambiguous demonstration of the epileptogenicity of one of the tubers. To test whether diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging enables differentiation of epileptogenic tubers from inert ones.In 4 patients with ...

High-Molecular-Weight Exopolysaccharides Production from Tuber borchii Cultivated by Submerged Fermentation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2023
Truffles are known worldwide for their peculiar taste, aroma, and nutritious properties, which increase their economic value. However, due to the challenges associated with the natural cultivation of truffles, including cost and time, submerged fermentation has turned out to be a potential alternative.

Recognizing Pediatric Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Based on Multi-Contrast MRI and Deep Weighted Fusion Network

open access: yesBioengineering, 2023
Multi-contrast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is wildly applied to identify tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) children in a clinic. In this work, a deep convolutional neural network with multi-contrast MRI is proposed to diagnose pediatric TSC. Firstly, by combining T2W and FLAIR images, a new synthesis modality named FLAIR3 was created to enhance the

Effects of Seed Tuber Size and Planting Density on the Tuber Number and the Individual Tuber Weight of Plants Grown from Potato Microtubers in Fields

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Crop Science, 2011

Possibility of increasing early crop potato yield with foliar application of seaweed extracts and humic acids [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Central European Agriculture, 2020
Under climate change conditions, biostimulants play an important role in plant adaptation to abiotic stress. This paper analyses the effect of the seaweed extracts Bio-algeen S90 (Ascophyllum nodosum) and Kelpak SL (Ecklonia maxima) and humic and fulvic ...
