Summary The incidence of sensitization to tuberculin in Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire is described, there being some evidence of a decline as compared with previous surveys in this country. This was particularly marked in the younger children, and among the adults in Cambridgeshire, where tuberculization was not found to be complete.

A positive reaction to the tuberculin test indicates the presence of tuberculous infection, but the degree of activity, if any, or the severity of the disease process cannot be thus determined.
