The tuberculin skin test.

The tuberculin skin test, if carefully standardised, is a useful diagnostic and screening tool. Whilst it is easier to apply in unvaccinated populations, with care, available data may be used to help interpret the tests in populations such as New Zealand where vaccination has been widespread.
