In vitro Culture of Ehrlich Ascites Tumor Cells
Science, 1960The successful culturing and subculturing of ascites tumor cells for 80 odd days are described, as well as the growth pattern of these cells during this period. The cytological appearance of cells after 3 weeks in tissue culture and reinoculation into mice is also presented.

Transformation of Cells in Human Bone Tumor Cultures
2015Two cell lines from tumors of 16 patients with osteosarcoma and two cell lines from 5 patients with giant cell tumor of bone showed conversion of cell type after 2 to 13 months in culture. Transformed cells of epithelial like morphology appeared in small focal areas and rapidly overgrew nontransformed cells.

111Indium labeling of cultured human tumor cells.
Oncology, 1985At least one microCi of 111indium oxine (111InOx) could be incorporated into 10(6) human tumor cells without cytotoxicity as determined by colony assay or by trypan blue staining. 111In bound to prekilled cells was removed preferentially by washings, and prelabeled cells killed with diphtheria toxin released radioactivity much more rapidly than did ...

Cultured Kaposi's Sarcoma Tumor Cells Fail to Stimulate T Cell Proliferation
Clinical Immunology and Immunopathology, 1996Prior to the AIDS epidemic, Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) was a rare neoplasm. However, in the context of immunosuppression, cutaneous KS lesions more frequently develop and express various surface molecules recognized by T cells such as intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1; CD54) and HLA-DR.

Biophysical properties of human astrocytic brain tumor cells in cell culture
Journal of Cellular Physiology, 1980AbstractFor malignant cells cultured from a human astrocytoma, electrophysiological characteristics of the plasma membrane included specific resistivity of 446.82 ± 279.5 ohm·cm2, specific capacitance of 0.758 ± 0.52 microfarads/cm2, time constant 0.318± 0.10 msec.
