A 3D‐printed PCL scaffold coated with Arginine was laminated with electrospun polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) nanofibers containing cationic cellulose nanocrystals (PVA@cCNC). This created nanoisland‐like regions of aligned and random cCNC‐rich fibers. The composite scaffold, under fluid shear stimulation, modulated macrophage polarization from M1 to M2 ...

This study develops a 3D vascular injury model using a microphysiological system that mimics key features of intimal hyperplasia. Antiproliferative drugs reduced VSMC proliferation but worsened endothelialdenudation. A combination of diphenyleneiodonium and quercetin effectively reduced proliferation and migration of VSMC and inflammation while ...

Tumor necrosis factor alpha and breast cancer
A large number of studies suggest that beside tumor autonomous abnormalities, tumor-microenvironment interactions may affect tumor growth and metastasis formation. Inflammatory cells, primarily macrophages may affect tumor development and progression by their ability to express a large variety of factors, including inflammatory cytokines.
