Comprehensive review of advances in oxide‑based PEC materials for water splitting and CO2 reduction. ABSTRACT Photoelectrochemical (PEC) solar‑fuel production has emerged as a compelling route to carbon‑neutral energy. Yet, its practical deployment remains limited by the intrinsic constraints of metal‑oxide semiconductors, restricted visible‑light ...

Background and Purpose The persistence of temporomandibular disorders (TMDs), particularly myogenous, in a person with migraine can lead to exacerbated clinical outcomes and limited response to treatment. The pro‐nociceptive reactive nitroxidative species, peroxynitrite, is involved in migraine mechanisms, but little is known of its role in this ...

Tracking Sodium Inside the Plant: Hydraulic Adjustments to Deal With Salinity
ABSTRACT Sorghum is a crop that has become more relevant in recent years due to its uses and properties (biofuel, gluten‐free flour) as well as its versatility to grow in unfavourable environmental conditions. Salinity is one of the main abiotic stresses affecting crop production and yield worldwide.

A compact multispectral imaging system combined with a physics‐informed neural network enables real‐time quantitative monitoring and prediction of enzymatic browning in fresh‐cut apples. The Weibull‐constrained model improves temporal extrapolation over conventional Weibull and data‐driven neural network approaches.

Multimodal Fluorescent MOF@BODIPY Platform: Bridging Sensing and Mechanistic Insight
ABSTRACT Hybrid metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) that integrate organic chromophores constitute powerful platforms for optical sensing by combining structural order with tunable photophysics. Incorporating photoresponsive chromophores into MOFs enables sensitive probing of guest–framework interactions through well‐defined luminescent signatures. Herein,

Computational Studies of Molybdenum and Tungsten Enzymes
We review computational studies of three important mono-nuclear molybdenum oxo-transfer enzymes, dimethylsulfoxide reductase, sulfite oxidase and xanthine oxidase. We show that calculated energies for these reactions are very sensitive to details in the calculations, in particular to the density-functional method employed and the size of the basis set,

One Hundred Years of Sulfido Ligand in the Molybdenum Cofactor: New Perspectives
The terminal sulfido ligand in mononuclear molybdoenzymes has been appreciated for almost 125 years, with the characterization of Schardinger's enzyme in cow's milk, now known to be xanthine oxidase, that was isolated in 1902 in Vienna, Austria. The ligand is found in molybdoenzymes identified across all kingdoms of life.
