In the pathological context of osteoarthritis (OA), the phosphorylation of AKT1 at Ser473 enhances its binding to Lys140 of Insig1, which facilitates the formation of AKT1–Insig1 complex. Subsequently, the activation of AKT1 promotes the phosphorylation of Insig1 at Ser189, potentially enhancing the dissociation of Insig1 from sterol regulatory element‑

Enhancement of anti-phospholipid antibody activity by Tween 20
Journal of Immunological Methods, 1988Addition of the non-ionic detergent Tween 20 to the serum diluent enhances anti-cardiolipin binding reactivity in an ELISA system. Maximal enhancement was obtained using a concentration of 0.05% Tween 20 in the diluent. Non-specific interactions were also considerably reduced.

Chemiluminescence of Ce(iv) and surfactant Tween 20
The Analyst, 2001It was found that cerium(IV) reacted with surfactant Tween 20 in acidic medium to generate green chemiluminescence. The maximum emission wavelength was about 478 nm. The enhancement and inhibition of the CL reaction by some polyphenols and anilines was studied and the possibility of analytical application was explored.
