Toward Pore‐Engineered 3D‐Printed Materials for Sorption Water Harvesting, Interfacial Evaporation, and Radiative Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Water harvesting, radiative cooling, and interfacial solar evaporation are fundamentally governed by coupled heat, mass, and light transport processes. These processes are mediated by pore architecture, including pore size, connectivity, and hierarchical organization.

Shape Memory Polymer‐Based Flexible Pressure Sensor for Real‐Time Venous Thrombosis Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A shape‐memory tubular flexible pressure sensor with a 100‐mesh microstructured SMP‐PLA/MWCNTs sensing layer was developed for PICC‐mounted monitoring of thrombosis‐related pressure changes. The sensor combines high sensitivity (204 kPa−1), a fast response time (28 ms), and conformal catheter fixation and was validated by hydrostatic and ex vivo ...

Twin-roll casting defects in light metals

open access: yesJournal of Materials Science
AbstractThe twin-roll casting (TRC) of light metal alloys, in particular aluminium and magnesium alloys, represents a promising technology for the production of lightweight components thanks to its short process chain and promising combinations of properties.

Textile‐Based Capacitive Pressure Sensors Enabled by Ultrasonic Spray‐Coated Carbon Black Electrodes and Electrostatic Flocking

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A 4‐layer Kevlar‐based composite is fabricated by combining ultrasonic spraying and electrostatic flocking. Carbon black dispersion is first deposited onto Kevlar fabric to create a conductive electrode. Nylon fibers are then electrostatically flocked onto the coated fabric, forming a dielectric layer.

CONTINUOUS FABRICATION OF BULK AMORPHOUS ALLOY SHEETS BY TWIN-ROLL STRIP CASTING

open access: yes, 2019
Twin-roll strip casting was utilized to fabricate the sheet products of Zr- and Cu-base bulk amorphous alloys with quite different glass forming abilities (GFAs). Simulation of the solidification behavior of the these amorphous forming alloys during twin-

Micropillar‐Engineered Hybrid Adhesive Patch for Surface‐Conformable and Directional Adhesion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work presents a surface‐conformable hybrid adhesive integrating height‐optimized hexagonal micropillars with open‐rectangular cuts. The micropillars enhance rough‐surface contact and microscale crack arrest, while the cuts guide and reverse interfacial cracks for strong and directional adhesion. The multiscale architecture achieves robust pull‐off
