This study unveils a novel antibacterial mechanism against MRSA, in which the compound Py‐27 selectively targets and inhibits aspartate transcarbamoylase (ATCase), a key enzyme in pyrimidine synthesis. This inhibition disrupts DNA replication, induces oxidative damage, leading to potent bactericidal activity.

Metabolic adaption presents a vital survival strategy for E. multilocularis. This study identifies EmPDK as a central metabolic regulator governing glucose metabolic reprogramming. Oxidative stress activates EmHIF1α to induce EmPDK expression. Mechanistic characterization reveals this ROS/EmHIF1α/EmPDK axis drives glycolytic reprogramming to sustain ...

Two‐Dimensional Gel Electrophoresis
Current Protocols in Protein Science, 1998AbstractTwo‐dimensional gel electrophoresis combines two different electrophoretic separating techniques in perpendicular directions to provide a much greater separation of complex protein mixtures than either of the individual procedures. Variations of the most common two‐dimensional technique are described in this unit, namely isoelectrofocusing (IEF)
