Characterization of the asymptotic distribution of semiparametric M-estimators
This paper develops a concrete formula for the asymptotic distribution of two-step, possibly non-smooth semiparametric M-estimators under general misspecification.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Two-Stage Kalman Filter for Fault Tolerant Estimation of Wind Speed and UAV Flight Parameters
In this study, an estimation algorithm based on a two-stage Kalman filter (TSKF) was developed for wind speed and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) motion parameters. In the first stage, the wind speed estimation algorithm is used with the help of the Global

Two-stage designs robust to model uncertainty. [PDF]
D-optimal designs are known to depend quite critically on the particular model that is assumed. These designs tend to concentrate all the experimental runs on a small number of design points and are ideally suited for estimating the coefficients of the ...

Unbiased estimation of odds ratios: combining genomewide association scans with replication studies. [PDF]
Odds ratios or other effect sizes estimated from genome scans are upwardly biased, because only the top-ranking associations are reported, and moreover only if they reach a defined level of significance. No unbiased estimate exists based on data selected

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Two-Stage Marker Detection–Localization Network for Bridge-Erecting Machine Hoisting Alignment
To tackle the challenges of complex construction environment interference (e.g., lighting variations, occlusion, and marker contamination) and the demand for high-precision alignment during the hoisting process of bridge-erecting machines, this paper ...

Inference for Two-Stage Extremum Estimators
We present a simulation-based inference approach for two-stage estimators, focusing on extremum estimators in the second stage. We accommodate a broad range of first-stage estimators, including extremum estimators, high-dimensional estimators, and other types of estimators such as Bayesian estimators.
