Electronic health record phenotyping improves detection and screening of type 2 diabetes in the general United States population: A cross-sectional, unselected, retrospective study [PDF]
Objectives: In the United States, 25% of people with type 2 diabetes are undiagnosed. Conventional screening models use limited demographic information to assess risk. We evaluated whether electronic health record (EHR) phenotyping could improve diabetes screening, even when records are incomplete and data are not recorded systematically across ...

An Ensemble Learning Approach for Exercise Detection in Type 1 Diabetes Patients [PDF]
Type 1 diabetes is a serious disease in which individuals are unable to regulate their blood glucose levels, leading to various medical complications. Artificial pancreas (AP) systems have been developed as a solution for type 1 diabetic patients to mimic the behavior of the pancreas and regulate blood glucose levels.

Genetics of type 2 diabetes [PDF]
To provide an overview of the genetics of type 2 diabetes in the context of recent progress in the understanding of the genetic architecture of the disease and its applicability to the pathogenesis of the disease as well as efforts to individualize therapy in type 2 diabetes.

Transcriptome‐wide analysis of circRNA and RBP profiles and their molecular relevance for GBM
CircRNAs are differentially expressed in glioblastoma primary tumors and might serve as therapeutic targets and diagnostic markers. The investigation of circRNA and RNA‐binding proteins (RBPs) interactions shows that distinct RBPs play a role in circRNA biogenesis and function.

Profiling Of Volatiles In Tissues Of Salacia Reticulata Wight. With Anti-Diabetic Potential Using GC-MS And Molecular Docking [PDF]
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a global pandemic, it is a chronic, progressive and an incompletely understood metabolic condition. The disease is characterized by higher levels of sugar in blood caused either due to insufficient production of insulin or because of insulin resistance.

Liraglutide and renal outcomes in type 2 diabetes [PDF]
In a randomized, controlled trial that compared liraglutide, a glucagon-like peptide 1 analogue, with placebo in patients with type 2 diabetes and high cardiovascular risk who were receiving usual care, we found that liraglutide resulted in lower risks ...

Low expression of five purine metabolism‐related genes (ADSL, APRT, ADCY3, NME3, NME6) was correlated with poor survival in colorectal cancer. Immunohistochemistry analysis showed that low NME3 (early stage) and low ADSL/NME6 (late stage) levels were associated with high risk.
