Detecting Associations Based on the Multi-Variable Maximum Information Coefficient

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
The maximum information coefficient (MIC) is a novel and widely-using measure of association detection in large datasets. The most outstanding feature of MIC is that it has both generality and equability. However, MIC can only deal with two variables and

UAV-Direct [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 4th ACM Workshop on Micro Aerial Vehicle Networks, Systems, and Applications, 2018
In this paper, a new and novel approach called (Unmanned Areal Vehicle) UAV-Direct is proposed, where the UAV helps in optimizing the bandwidth and power allocations of Device-to-Device (D2D) communication. In addition to that, the UAV can play the role of a relay if needed to maintain the communication links between the devices that are out of ...

Collision‐Resilient Winged Drones Enabled by Tensegrity Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Based on structures of birds such as the woodpeck, this article presents the collision‐resilient aerial robot, SWIFT. SWIFT leverages tensegrity structures in the fuselage and wings which allow it to undergo large deformations in a crash, without sustaining damage. Experiments show that SWIFT can reduce impact forces by 70% over conventional structures.

Energy-Efficient UAV Movement and user-UAV Association in Multi-UAV Networks

open access: yes2025 IEEE International Mediterranean Conference on Communications and Networking (MeditCom)
These days, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-based millimeter wave (mmWave) communication systems have drawn a lot of attention due to the increasing demand for faster data rates. Given the susceptibility of mmWave signals to obstacles and high propagation loss of mmWaves, ensuring line-of-sight (LoS) connectivity is critical for maintaining robust and ...
