The study identifies TRIM15 as a key driver in the development of obesity‐associated esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC). Mechanistically, TRIM15 degrades YY2 through the proteasome pathway, suppressing FOXRED1 transcription and ultimately accelerating tumor proliferation.

CHARACTERIZATION OF THE UBIQUITIN LIGASE, UBE4B, IN ENDOCYTIC TRAFFICKING [PDF]
Endocytosis is a process by which cells internalize membrane proteins to remove them from the plasma membrane, allowing cells to regulate the cell surface expression of transmembrane proteins.

The S100A4/STAT3 axis promotes Rmrp transcription in AEC‐IIs and Rmrp expression in AEC‐II‐derived exosomes. Upon entry into AMs, Rmrp binds to and blocks the ubiquitination and degradation of ZFP36. Increased ZFP36 induced Pfkfb3 mRNA decay by binding to AREs in the 3′ UTR, curbing glycolysis and immune responses of AMs and aggravating SII and ...

This study reveals that circPVT1 promotes the renal cell carcinoma lung metastasis and tumor progression through encoding the cP104aa peptide and directly binds with EIF4A3, which jointly regulates the target gene c‐MYC. Abstract Circular RNA (circRNA) plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of renal cell carcinoma (RCC).

Parkin uses the UPS to ship off dysfunctional mitochondria [PDF]
Parkin is a ubiquitin E3 ligase that is implicated in familial Parkinson disease (PD). Previous studies have established its role in mitophagy, a pathway whereby dysfunctional mitochondria are targeted for autophagic degradation.

Uncovering Ubiquitin and Ubiquitin-like Signaling Networks
Proteomes are significantly more complex than genomes and transcriptomes due to protein processing and extensive post-translational modification (PTM) of proteins. Hundreds of different modifications exist. Release 66 of the RESID database(1) (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/RESID/) contains 559 different modifications, including small chemical modifications such
