From Ubiquitous to Ubiquitous Blended Learning Environments

2020
As advances in information and communication technology increasingly transform learning and teaching; blended learning and ubiquitous learning concepts have gained attention and become pervasive in 21st century. With the help of recent advances in mobile learning, wireless networks, RFID tags, a new model of blended learning—ubiquitous blended learning—

A Ubiquitous Learning System Using Co-learning Ubiquitous Pet for Enhancing Educational Effect

2008 IEEE 8th International Conference on Computer and Information Technology Workshops, 2008
With the improving of ubiquitous technology, ubiquitous learning combined with tiny ubiquitous computing devices has provided great educational effect for users. In the aspect of learning process in traditional ubiquitous learning systems, in some systems users need to follow the instruction of the systems, and in other systems, they adapt to users ...

Ubiquitous learning

2011

Web-Based Ubiquitous Learning

2015
Certificates are very important to the students of professional and Technician University. Hence, it is a key issue to create a ubiquitous environment which students can learn in anywhere and anytime. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to construct a web-based learning system on campus through some mobile devices.

Ubiquitous Learning Supporting Systems

2015
Ubiquitous learning features intuitive ways of identifying appropriate learning collaborators and right learning contents and services at the right place and at the right time. Consequently, there are many aspects that must be considered in designing computing applications that support this kind of learning.

Ubiquitous Learning and Handhelds

2009
The concept of ubiquitous computing or Ubicomp was first articulated by Mark Weiser in 1988 at the Computer Science Lab at Xerox PARC (Palo Alto Research Centre). He asserted that the most profound technologies associated with ubiquitous computing are those that disappear as they weave themselves into the framework of our everyday lives.

Integrated Infrastructure for Ubiquitous Learning

IEEE Revista Iberoamericana de Tecnologias del Aprendizaje, 2015
Mobile learning is a reality. However, ubiquitous learning approaches are not at a full level of maturity, much of these approaches lacking proposals aiming to provide its practical use. This paper presents an architecture for ubiquitous learning, which employs the paradigm of ontology-based data access (OBDA) for solving problems related to data ...

Ubiquitous Learning with SCORM

2007 First IEEE International Symposium on Information Technologies and Applications in Education, 2007
Distance Learning technologies are important application issues of multimedia computing and networking. The talk starts from the discussion of current distance learning standards, with a highlight of some potential research problems. A survey of distance education technologies and projects toward possible solutions is given.

Task recommendation for Ubiquitous Learning

2010 2nd International Asia Conference on Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics (CAR 2010), 2010
This paper proposes a personal learning assistant called LORAMS (Link of RFID and Movies System), which supports learners with a system to share and reuse learning experiences by linking movies to environmental objects. We assume that every object has RFID tags and mobile devices have a RFID reader and can record a video at anytime and anyplace.

Ubiquitous Learning: An Ontology

Ubiquitous Learning: An International Journal, 2009
This paper presents an ontology of ubiquitous learning based on three dimensions of ubiquity: temporal, semiotic, and spatial ubiquity, and two dimensions of learning: entities and technologies. A simple taxonomy is used to denote each dimension. Thus the ontology has five dimensions with multiple categories denoting each dimension.
