Developing strong and sustainable materials is essential for reducing reliance on metals and lowering carbon emissions. Inspired by how plants naturally harden their cell walls, we created a rapid process that transforms bamboo into an ultra‐hard structural material by rebuilding lignin‐like networks within its structure.

Potentiostatic Electrodeposition of Binder‐Free Ni–W Electrodes for Coupled Energy‐Saving Hydrogen Production and Urea Remediation

A binder‐free Ni–W nanostructured electrode is fabricated via controlled potentiostatic electrodeposition on carbon paper that aligns with circular economy principles. The electrode enables energy‐efficient hydrogen production coupled with urea remediation, achieving 100 mA cm−2 at 1.77 V and degrading 47% of urea over 30 h.
