A multimodal bronchoscopic approach for diagnosing peripheral ground-glass nodules using Cone-Beam computed tomography and cryobiopsy: a preliminary study [PDF]
Background Ground-glass nodules (GGNs) remain challenging to diagnose using endobronchial ultrasound–guided transbronchial biopsy (EBUS-TBB) due to limited visibility and low tissue yield. We evaluated a multimodal bronchoscopic approach and investigated

Comparative study of transbronchial cryobiopsy and transbronchial biopsy for diagnostic yield in peripheral pulmonary lesions [PDF]
Background Transbronchial cryobiopsy (TBCB) is a minimally invasive technique that yields larger specimens than conventional transbronchial forceps biopsies (TBFB) and demonstrates superior diagnostic rates for interstitial lung diseases.

Diagnostic Yield of Cone-beam-Derived Augmented Fluoroscopy and Ultrathin Bronchoscopy Versus Conventional Navigational Bronchoscopy Techniques. [PDF]
Background: Pulmonary nodules suspicious for lung cancer are frequently diagnosed. Evaluating and optimizing the diagnostic yield of lung nodule biopsy is critical as innovation in bronchoscopy continues to progress. Methods: This is a retrospective cohort study.

Ultrathin Bronchoscopy for the Diagnosis of Peripheral Pulmonary Lesions: A Meta-Analysis.
Background: Ultrathin bronchoscopy (external diameter, ≤3.5 mm) is useful for the diagnosis of peripheral pulmonary lesions because of its good accessibility. Objectives: We performed a meta-analysis to investigate the diagnostic yield of ultrathin bronchoscopy for peripheral pulmonary lesions.

Diagnostic value of ultrathin bronchoscopy in peripheral pulmonary lesions: a narrative review. [PDF]
Flexible bronchoscopes are being continuously improved, and an ultrathin bronchoscope with a working channel that allows the use of a radial-type endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) probe is now available. The ultrathin bronchoscope has good maneuverability for passing through the small bronchi and good accessibility to peripheral lung lesions.

An update on the role of bronchoscopy in the diagnosis of pulmonary disease [PDF]
Bronchoscopy has evolved over the past few decades and has been used by respiratory physicians to diagnose various airway and lung diseases. With the popularization of medical check-ups and growing interest in health, early diagnosis of lung diseases is ...

Ultrathin bronchoscopy for solitary pulmonary lesions in a region endemic for tuberculosis: a randomised pilot trial. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: The evaluation of solitary pulmonary lesions (SPL) requires a balance between procedure-related morbidity and diagnostic yield, particularly in areas where tuberculosis (TB) is endemic.

Bronchoscopic Removal of Aspergilloma in a 26-Year-Old Man. [PDF]
A 26‐year‐old man with posttuberculous aspergilloma and a prior contralateral pneumonectomy remained refractory to voriconazole but was ineligible for surgery. The friable fungal ball was fragmented and completely extracted bronchoscopically over two sessions using progressively larger bronchoscopes, forceps, a Fogarty catheter and suction.

Computed Tomography‐Guided Bronchoscopy With an Ultrathin Fiberscope [PDF]
Bronchoscopy was performed under computed tomography (CT) guidance using an ultrathin fiberscope in a patient with a fluoroscopically invisible lesion that was visualized by CT in the right S8 and with poor pulmonary function. Under local anesthesia, the ultrathin fiberscope (3 mm in diameter) was inserted close to the lesion (1.5 mm in diameter) under
