Additive Manufacturing of Patient‐Specific Intracranial Aneurysm Cell Culture Models
Patient‐specific intracranial aneurysm models were fabricated using chocolate moulding, 3D printed water‐soluble cores, and direct resin 3D printing. Moulding PDMS around sacrificial cores made of chocolate or 3D printed water‐soluble resin yielded accurate, expandable, and endothelializable models that outperformed resin‐based approaches.

Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...

A NORMALLY ELLIPTIC HAMILTONIAN BIFURCATION [PDF]
A universal local bifurcation analysis is presented of an autonomous Hamiltonian system around a certain equilibrium point. This central equilibrium has a double zero eigenvalue, the other eigenvalues being in general position.

Hyperbolic Conservation Laws with Umbilic Degeneracy II
We continue to study hyperbolic systems of conservation laws with umbilic degeneracy. We further extend our compactness framework established earlier to other canonical classes of quadratic flux systems with an isolated umbilic point.

Lines of axial curvature at critical points on surfaces mapped into R4
nuloIn this paper are studied the simplest patterns of axial curvature lines (along which the normal curvature vector is at a vertex of the ellipse of curvature) near a critical point of a surface mapped into R4.

By integrating data from in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models, our research identifies the MARV glycoprotein as a remarkable hemorrhagic factor, filling a major gap in this important field. It also provides practical experimental tools for the basic research on viral pathogenesis and applied research aimed at antiviral intervention for hemorrhagic ...

The behavior of the principal distributions around an isolated umbilical point
Let \(G_f\) be the graph of a homogeneous polynomial \(f\) in two variables of degree \(k\geq 3\) such that the origin \(o\) of \(R^3\) is an isolated umbilical point. If \(\Theta_0\) is a real number at which \({df\over d\Theta} (\cos\Theta,\sin\Theta)\) vanishes, the straight line \(L(\Theta_0): =\{(x,y)\in R^2\); \(x\sin\Theta_0 -y\cos\Theta_0 =0\}\)

An algorithm for the optimisation of n-forms using symmetric multilinear forms
This paper describes an algorithm for locating stationary points of n-forms. Use is made of the associated n-linear form, the stationary points of which are seen to coincide with those of the n-form.

Polarization singularities in paraxial vector fields: morphology and statistics
Polarization patterns in the transverse plane generically contain singularities: points of circular polarization (C points), lines of linear polarization (L lines), instantaneous zeros (disclinations) and component zeros.
