Unbalanced lattice switched-current filters

ISCAS 2001. The 2001 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.01CH37196), 2002
This paper shows how switched-current filters can be derived from passive filters obtained by the unbalancing of doubly terminated LC lattice structures. The process is similar to what would be done for the simulation of more conventional ladder structures, but the use of lattice prototypes allows the realization in an almost physically symmetrical ...

The unbalanced magnetron: current status of development

Surface and Coatings Technology, 1991
Abstract There is now increasing industrial and scientific interest in magnetron sputtering cathodes which have a preferred strengthening or weakening of one of the poles such as to render them “unbalanced”. This configuration can lead to a higher degree of ionization in the vicinity of the work piece-substrate and much improved film properties. This

Current control scheme for unbalanced current distribution in a four-phase converter

2017 IEEE Conference on Energy Conversion (CENCON), 2017
A multiphase DC-DC topology is mostly used for high current application in electric vehicles (EV), CPU processing circuit, communication systems and etc. Although this topology has an advantage of lower manufacturing costs and smaller in size. This topology, however, is susceptive to the unbalanced phase current issue which can cause malfunction to the

Circulating Current Control in MMC Under the Unbalanced Voltage

IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 2013
This paper proposes a control method for circulating currents in modular multilevel converters (MMCs) under unbalanced voltage conditions. Under balanced voltage conditions, only negative-sequence circulating currents exist. Consequently, the conventional method has considered only negative-sequence circulating currents in MMC.

Unbalanced Circulating Current of Double-Circuit Transmission Lines

2011 Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference, 2011
Double-circuit transmission lines and even multi circuit transmission lines are trends for development of power system. The paper analyzes the wire layouts of double-circuit line and characteristics of its impedance matrix. And then the sequence currents of double-circuit line are investigated.

Current-voltage characteristics of unbalanced superconducting Wheatstone bridges

Journal of Applied Physics, 1995
We compute the current-voltage characteristics of unbalanced superconducting Wheatstone bridges biased with constant and radio frequency current sources. An analytical expression for the critical supercurrent at which a nonzero voltage appears across the transverse junction of the bridge is derived.

Analysis of the inner unbalanced current for modular multilevel converter

2018 13th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA), 2018
Circulating components of the inner unbalanced current for modular multilevel converter will increase the power loss of the converter and reduce the utilization of the bridge arm capacities inevitably. Even worse, the distortion of the bridge arm current will be intensified, which will endanger the safe operation of the system.

Development of an unbalanced switching scheme for a current source inverter

IEE Proceedings - Generation, Transmission and Distribution, 2000
The development of an unbalanced switching scheme for the power conditioning system of a superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) device is described. The pulse-width modulation switching scheme for a current-source inverter, based on the unified switching algorithm, is presented.

Wind Turbine Harmonics caused by Unbalanced Grid Currents

2007 Compatibility in Power Electronics, 2007
For wind turbines that feed into public grids limits for voltage and current harmonics must be assured. To verify that the actual levels are valid, measurements are necessary. Problems can occur to determine which part of these harmonics has its origin in the wind turbine.
