An automatic approach for modeling acoustic responses of 3D bounded and unbounded domains is proposed based on the scaled boundary finite element method (SBFEM). The bounded acoustic near field is modeled by SBFEM.

Regularity of monotone transport maps between unbounded domains [PDF]
The regularity of monotone transport maps plays an important role in several applications to PDE and geometry. Unfortunately, the classical statements on this subject are restricted to the case when the measures are compactly supported.

Navier-Stokes equations on unbounded domains with rough initial data [PDF]
summary:We consider the Navier-Stokes equations in unbounded domains $\Omega \subseteq \mathbb R ^n$ of uniform $C^{1,1}$-type. We construct mild solutions for initial values in certain extrapolation spaces associated to the Stokes operator on these ...

Solutions of anisotropic elliptic equations in unbounded domains
In the paper the Dirichlet problem for an anisotropic quasilinear elliptic equations of the second order is considered. The upper estimates for the generalized solution of this Dirichlet problem are received, the closeness is proved for the isotropic ...

Monotonicity results for the fractional p-Laplacian in unbounded domains
In this paper, we develop a direct method of moving planes in unbounded domains for the fractional p-Laplacians, and illustrate how this new method to work for the fractional p-Laplacians.

The paper considers the existence of solutions of the Dirichlet problem for nonlinear elliptic equations of the second order in unbounded domains. Restrictions on the structure of quasilinear equations are formulated in terms of a special class of convex

Hermite spectral collocation methods for fractional PDEs in unbounded domains [PDF]
This work is concerned with spectral collocation methods for fractional PDEs in unbounded domains. The method consists of expanding the solution with proper global basis functions and imposing collocation conditions on the Gauss-Hermite points.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Monotonicity in Inverse Medium Scattering on Unbounded Domains [PDF]
We discuss a time-harmonic inverse scattering problem for the Helmholtz equation with compactly supported penetrable and possibly inhomogeneous scattering objects in an unbounded homogeneous backgr...
