GCN2 in proteostasis: structural logic, signalling networks and disease
Threats to protein synthesis activate the kinase GCN2, initiating the integrated stress response (ISR). GCN2 is triggered by stalled ribosomes and uncharged tRNAs, which accumulate when amino acids are scarce. The ISR adjusts cellular physiology by promoting redox balance, protein quality control, and mitochondrial optimisation.

DNA damage in the tardigrade Hypsibius exemplaris elicits distinct cellular outcomes depending on replication status. While non‐replicating cells tolerate genotoxic stress, constitutively replicating cells undergo irreversible replication failure upon DNA damage, leading to loss of tissue homeostasis, fat depletion, sterility, and organismal death ...

Plain Language Summary People with chronic migraine may have changes in amino‐acid metabolism, but it remains unclear which metabolic pathways are associated with the disease and early response to onabotulinumtoxinA treatment. We measured plasma amino‐acid levels in patients with chronic migraine and healthy controls and assessed changes after 1 month ...

Deep learning enables accurate detection of occult cervical lymph node metastases on routine H&E sections, showing strong concordance with cytokeratin staining and potential to reduce reliance on immunohistochemistry. Background Detection of occult cervical lymph node metastases is critical for accurate staging and treatment planning in oral cavity ...

ABSTRACT Background Circadian clock disruption has emerged as a relevant axis in cancer; however, the expression patterns and diagnostic relevance of BMAL1 and CLOCK in multiple myeloma (MM) remain insufficiently defined. Methods BMAL1 and CLOCK mRNA expression was quantified by RT‐qPCR in bone marrow samples from 46 newly diagnosed MM patients and 13 ...

Emerging Roles of PSTPIP2 in Autoimmunity: From Mechanism to Therapeutic Implications
PSTPIP2 acts as a key brake on myeloid inflammation by suppressing IL‐1β‐driven signalling, macrophage dysregulation and inflammation‐associated bone remodelling. Its emerging roles in CRMO/CMO, rheumatoid arthritis, SAPHO syndrome and bullous pemphigoid support its potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target.

Trophic niche overlap between native and non‐native fishes in central Anatolian lakes, Türkiye
Abstract The Central Anatolian region of Türkiye exhibits exceptionally high freshwater fish diversity and endemism and is increasingly exposed to the introduction of non‐native taxa. We examined the diet composition, prey selectivity and interspecific dietary overlap among eight native and five non‐native fish species across seven lakes in Central ...

Psychological Resilience and End‐of‐Life Symptom Burden: Evidence From a National Cohort Study
Higher psychological resilience was associated with lower predicted probabilities of end‐of‐life neuropsychiatric symptoms. Neuropsychiatric symptoms demonstrated the strongest associations with resilience, with progressively lower probabilities of depression, confusion, difficulty awakening, and uncontrolled temper across resilience quartiles (Q1 ...
