Conditions that Influence Drivers’ Yielding Behavior for Uncontrolled Intersections
Journal of Visual Impairment & Blindness, 2011Pedestrians with visual impairments need to cross streets where traffic signals and traffic signage are not present. This study examined the influences of several interventions, including a pedestrian's use of a mobility cane, on the behavior of drivers when they were expected to yield to a pedestrian crossing at an uncontrolled crossing.

Modeling Conflicts of Heterogeneous Traffic at Urban Uncontrolled Intersections
Journal of Transportation Engineering, 1998The behavior of traffic in the heterogeneous environment of an urban uncontrolled intersection is complex and difficult to model. The present study describes the methodology of simulating the traffic flow and thereby estimating the number of conflicts in varying traffic flow conditions.

Approach speeds at uncontrolled intersections with restricted sight distances.
Journal of Applied Psychology, 1978An unobtrusive study was made of vehicles approaching low-volume, uncontrolled cross-intersections, with restricted right sight distances, at which the give-way-to-the-right rule was operative. The hypotheses were that one factor that influenced motorists' approach speeds on the major road was the frequency with which vehicles emerged from the right ...

GAP-ACCEPTANCE BEHAVIOR AT UNCONTROLLED INTERSECTIONS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES
Malaysian Journal of Civil Engineering, 2018Left-turn gap acceptance at an uncontrolled intersection is dependent on many factors. Most existing studies evaluate gap acceptance in developed countries and less deal with developing countries. Morover, most existing studies also do not differentiate between gap and lag when evaluating gap acceptance.
