A unified approach to holomorphic anomaly equations and quantum spectral curves

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We present a unified approach to holomorphic anomaly equations and some well-known quantum spectral curves. We develop a formalism of abstract quantum field theory based on the diagrammatics of the Deligne-Mumford moduli spaces ℳ ¯ g , n $$ {\overline ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

A unified field theory

open access: yes, 1976
Following a suggestion of Timman [1], an attempt is made to geometrize the gravitational- and the electromagnetic field. Particle-paths in a space-time continuum are identified with the geodesics of a fourdimensional Riemann space with a non-symmetric ...

On the asymptotic events of a Markov chain

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1979
In this paper we investigate some structure properties of the tail σ-field and the invariant σ-field of both homogeneous and nonhomogeneous Markov chains as representations for asymptotic events, descriptions of completely nonatomic and atomic sets and ...

Kaluza–Klein reduction on a maximally non-Riemannian space is moduli-free

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2019
We propose a novel Kaluza–Klein scheme which assumes the internal space to be maximally non-Riemannian, meaning that no Riemannian metric can be defined for any subspace.

Statistical field theory and effective action method for scalar active matter

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
We employ statistical field theory techniques for coarse graining the steady-state properties of active Ornstein-Uhlenbeck particles. The computation is carried out in the framework of the unified colored noise approximation that allows an effective ...

The Status of Geometry and Matter in the Reinterpreted WdW Equation

open access: yesPhysical Sciences Forum, 2023
This paper shows that the field defined by the Wheeler–DeWitt equation for pure gravity is neither a standard gravitational field nor the field representing a particular universe.

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

The Geometric Proca–Weyl Field as a Candidate for Dark Matter

open access: yesUniverse
We consider the Weyl invariant theory of gravity as an alternative approach to the problem of the origin of dark matter. According to this theory, the geometric Weyl 1-form effectively behaves as a Proca field.
