Near-Field to Far-Field Transformation Techniques with Spiral Scannings: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2014
An overview of the near-field-far-field (NF-FF) transformation techniques with innovative spiral scannings, useful to derive the radiation patterns of the antennas commonly employed in the modern wireless communication systems, is provided in this paper.

Superconducting and Antiferromagnetic Phases of Space-Time

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2017
A correspondence between the SO5 theory of high-TC superconductivity and antiferromagnetism, put forward by Zhang and collaborators, and a theory of gravity arising from symmetry breaking of a SO5 gauge field is presented.

Infinite Element Static-Dynamic Unified Artificial Boundary

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2018
The method, which obtains a static-dynamic comprehensive effect from superposing static and dynamic effects, is inapplicable to large deformation and nonlinear elastic problems under strong earthquake action.

Dynamical picture of spin Hall effect based on quantum spin vorticity theory

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2016
It is proposed that the dynamical picture of the spin Hall effect can be explained as the generation of the spin vorticity by the applied electric field on the basis of the “quantum spin vorticity theory”, which describes the equation of motion of local ...

Metanovel of A. Bitov “The Teacher of Symmetry”: from Chaos to the Metanarrative

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Language Studies, Semiotics and Semantics, 2015
The article is devoted to the analysis of the novel “he Teacher of Symmetry” written by A. Bitov: its plot, composition, character, idea-thematic levels. The first publication of short stories of the novel dates 1987.

A unified field theory

open access: yesIndagationes Mathematicae (Proceedings), 1976
AbstractFollowing a suggestion of Timman [1], an attempt is made to geometrize the gravitational- and the electromagnetic field. Particle-paths in a space-time continuum are identified with the geodesics of a fourdimensional Riemann space with a non-symmetric affine connection. Maxwell's equations are formulated in terms of the connection.

Gravitational core of double field theory

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
Double Field Theory (DFT) has emerged as a comprehensive framework for gravity, presenting a testable and robust alternative to General Relativity (GR), rooted in the $$\textbf{O}(D,D)$$ O ( D , D ) symmetry principle of string theory.

Labor and place in Barbados, Jamaica, and Trinidad : a search for a comparative unified field theory revisited

open access: yesNWIG, 2001
Comparative study of 3 Anglophone Caribbean islands looks at the dynamics of economic change and development from 1750 to 1900. Author underlines the interplay between human agency and large- and small-scale forces in these sugar colonies. She focuses on
