Fuzzy uniformities on function spaces

open access: yesApplied General Topology, 2006
We study several uniformities on a function space and show that the fuzzy topology associated with the fuzzy uniformity of uniform convergence is jointly fuzzy continuous on Cf (X, Y ) ,the collection of all fuzzy continuous functions from a fuzzy ...

Discordance between systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index domain weights and their association with organ damage accrual

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Studies of damage accrual in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) show associations with disease activity measured by the SLE Disease Activity Index 2000 (SLEDAI‐2K), but these associations are imperfect. SLEDAI scores are powerfully influenced by weightings (1‐8) assigned to each domain.

Uniform convergence of multiplier convergent series

open access: yesProyecciones (Antofagasta), 2017
If λ is a sequence K-space and Σ xj is a series in a topological vector space X, the series is said to be λ-multiplier convergent if the series converges in X for every t = {tj} ∈ λ. We show that if λ satisfies a gliding hump condition, called the signed strong gliding hump condition, then the series converge uniformly for t = {tj} belonging to ...

Convergence rate of wavelet expansions of Gaussian random processes

open access: yes, 2013
The paper characterizes uniform convergence rate for general classes of wavelet expansions of stationary Gaussian random processes. The convergence in probability is considered.Comment: This is an Author's Accepted Manuscript of an article to be ...

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

A high-order finite difference scheme for a singularly perturbed reaction-diffusion problem with an interior layer

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2017
In this paper, we consider a singularly perturbed reaction-diffusion problem with a discontinuous source term. Boundary and interior layers appear in the solution.

Generic Uniform Convergence [PDF]

open access: yesEconometric Theory, 1992
This paper presents several generic uniform convergence results that include generic uniform laws of large numbers. These results provide conditions under which pointwise convergence almost surely or in probability can be strengthened to uniform convergence. The results are useful for establishing asymptotic properties of estimators and test statistics.

Experimental Evaluation of 100Cr6 Steel Microindented Surfaces Under Lubricated Nonconformal Point Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Strong Uniform Convergence Rates of Wavelet Density Estimators with Size-Biased Data

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2019
This paper considers the strong uniform convergence of multivariate density estimators in Besov space Bp,qs(Rd) based on size-biased data. We provide convergence rates of wavelet estimators when the parametric μ is known or unknown, respectively.
