Fitted mesh numerical method for two-parameter singularly perturbed partial differential equations with large time lag

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
In this study, we devise a parameter-uniform second-order numerical method for two-parameter singularly perturbed partial differential equations with large time lag.

Uniform Convergence Rate of the SNP Density Estimator and Testing for Similarity of Two Unknown Densities [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper studies the uniform convergence rate of the turncated SNP (semi-nonparametric) density estimator. Using the uniform convergence rate result we obtain, we propose a test statistic testing the equivalence of two unknown densities where two ...

Bivariate Lagrange interpolation at the node points of Lissajous curves - the degenerate case

open access: yes, 2016
In this article, we study bivariate polynomial interpolation on the node points of degenerate Lissajous figures. These node points form Chebyshev lattices of rank $1$ and are generalizations of the well-known Padua points.

Manufacturing Continuous Fiber‐Reinforced Printing Filaments: Development of a Post‐Consolidation Unit

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel, temperature‐controlled post‐consolidation unit is developed to test its potential to improve the melt impregnation process used to manufacture continuous fiber‐reinforced filaments for additive manufacturing of high‐performance thermoplastics.

Convergence of the Difference Solutions of a Dirichlet Problem With a Discontinuous Derivative of the Boundary Function for a Singularly Perturbed Convection-Diffusion Equation

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2016
We consider a Dirichlet problem for a singularly perturbed convection-diffusion equation with constant coefficients in a rectangular domain in the case when the convection is parallel to the horizontal faces of the rectangular and directed to the right ...

Autocontinuity and convergence theorems for the Choquet integral [PDF]

open access: yes
Our aim is to provide some convergence theorems for the Choquet integral with respect to various notions of convergence. For instance, the dominated convergence theorem for almost uniform convergence is related to autocontinuous set functions ...

Design and Prototyping of Topology‐Optimized, Additively Manufactured Lightweight Components for Space Robotic Systems: A Case Study

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The results demonstrate a simulation‐driven workflow that applies LSB topology optimization with additive manufacturing constraints to mission‐specific load cases, integrating European Cooperation for Space Standardization compliant verification and manufacturability to develop structurally efficient rover suspension components.

GENERATING FUNCTION FOR BERNOULLI NUMBERS AND ITS GENERALIZATIONS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mechanics of Continua and Mathematical Sciences
This paper explores certain generalizations of the generating function of Bernoulli numbers, the computation of integrals, and the investigation of the convergence of integrals from these functions.

Darboux-Integrability and Uniform Convergence

open access: yesReal Analysis Exchange, 2004
A concept of Darboux-integrability for Banach space-valued functions defined on a basic space \((\Omega, {\mathcal D}, \mu)\) is introduced. In the finite-dimensional case for functions on \([a,b]\) this concept generalizes the Riemann integral, but in the infinite-dimensional case the Darboux-integral is more restrictive than the standard definition ...

Bimetallic (NiFe) and Trimetallic (NiFeCr) Nanoalloys from Metal Oxides Using a Microwave Hydrogen Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Bimetallic (NiFe) and trimetallic (NiFeCr) nanoalloys (NAs) are synthesized using corresponding oxide mixtures using microwave hydrogen plasma within a few milliseconds. The process simultaneously 1) reduces metal oxides to metals; 2) downsizes the particles from micrometers to nanometers; and 3) blends the metals to form NAs.
