Integrated multi‐omic profiling maps the gene‐regulatory landscape of the coelomic mesothelium across heart, lung, and pancreas. A cardiac‐restricted regulatory program is uncovered in which TBX20 activates heart mesothelial (epicardial) cis‐regulatory elements, while MAF emerges as a conserved regulator of mesothelial identity.

Categorical Acquisition: Parameter-Setting in Universal Grammar
Two triggering models of parameter-setting, the Hierarchical Acquisition model endorsed by Baker (2001, 2005) and Wexler’s (1998) Very Early Parameter Setting model, are compared with Yang’s (2002, 2004) Variational model.

AI in chemical engineering: From promise to practice
Abstract Artificial intelligence (AI) in chemical engineering has moved from promise to practice: physics‐aware (gray‐box) models are gaining traction, reinforcement learning complements model predictive control (MPC), and generative AI powers documentation, digitization, and safety workflows.

Material‐Based Intelligence: Autonomous Adaptation and Embodied Computation in Physical Substrates
This perspective formulates a unifying framework for Material‐Based Intelligence (MBI), defining the physical requirements for materials to achieve embodied action, active memory and embodied information processing through intrinsic nonequilibrium dynamics. The design of intelligent materials often draws parallels with the complex adaptive behaviors of

Emergence phenomena in German W-immer/auch-subordinators [PDF]
The present study is concerned with the distributional patterns of the irrelevance particles immer ‘ever’ and auch ‘also’ in German universal concessive conditionals and free relatives (e.g. was immer er auch sagt ‘whatever he says’). Whereas irrelevance
