ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

Crude Oil Source Identification of Asphalt via ATR-FTIR Approach Combined with Multivariate Statistical Analysis

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
The types of crude oil for producing asphalt have a decisive influence on various performance measures (including aging resistance and durability) of asphalt. To discriminate and predict the crude oil source of different asphalt samples, a discrimination

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Genome-wide identification and gene expression analyses of GH3 gene family under abiotic stress in Phyllostachys edulis

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology
Background The Gretchen Hagen 3 (GH3) family plays an essential role in plant growth, development and resistance to environmental stress. Although, the members in GH3 family have been reported in some monocots, their exploration in Phyllostachys edulis ...

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Nitrogen-Fixing Trees Shift Soil Organic Carbon Toward Mineral-Associated Stability by Enhancing Microbial-Derived Carbon in Subtropical Plantations

open access: yesPlants
Introducing nitrogen (N)-fixing trees into plantations is a promising strategy to increase soil organic carbon (SOC) storage. However, whether this practice enhances SOC stability, a key determinant of long-term carbon sequestration, and through which ...
