Abstract Like many other bacterial organisms, Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris (Xcc) employs two motility appendages, a single polar flagellum and type IV pili, for sensing environmental cues and traversing liquids and solid surfaces. However, compared to the flagellum, the molecular mechanisms underlying the function and regulation of the pilus ...

Fonio (Digitaria exilis and Digitaria iburua) cereals are valued for their drought resilience, adaptability to poor soils, and cultural importance. In Nigeria, where both species are cultivated, fonio has declined due to labor‐intensive processing, lower yields, and changing livelihood choices. By documenting 21 landraces (15 D. exilis and 6 D. iburua),

ABSTRACT The E2 domain of amyloid precursor protein (APP_E2) plays a central role in the protein's function. We reinvestigate how the missense mutation, ΔH382L, affects the domain's thermal stability and ligand binding propensity through differential scanning fluorometry.

In planta analysis of the mode of action of cinmethylin and confirmation of fatty acyl‐ACP thioesterases (FATs) as primary site of action. Cinmethylin inhibits FATs, disrupting eukaryotic de novo lipid biosynthesis and causing defects in cell division, elongation and integrity. We confirm FATs as the primary site of action in planta.

Farnesoid X receptor prevents hyperuricemia via activating ATP‐binding cassette subfamily G member 2
Farnesoid X receptor (FXR) activation reduces serum uric acid levels by upregulating the intestinal urate transporter ATP‐binding cassette subfamily G member 2 (ABCG2). These findings uncover a novel metabolic pathway for urate excretion and suggest that FXR agonists (e.g., obeticholic acid), represent a promising therapeutic strategy for the treatment
