Summary: Uridine diphosphate (UDP)-glucose ceramide glucosyltransferase (UGCG) is an enzyme that glycosylates ceramide and blunts its pro-apoptotic activity in cancer cells. Targeting UGCG sensitizes solid cancer cells to chemotherapy.
