Plasma Membrane H+-ATPase Activity in Spores,Germ Tubes, and Haustoria of the Rust Fungus Uromyces viciae-fabae

open access: yes, 1996
Using plasma membrane-enriched vesicles, the properties of the H+-ATPase (EC 3.6.1.35) from the rust fungus Uromyces viciae-fabae were studied. The enzyme is strictly Mg2+-dependent and is inhibited by vanadate. The pH-optimum is at 6.7.

Lentil rust in north-west of Algeria caused by Uromyces viciae-fabae

open access: yes, 2020
Lentil rust, caused by the fungal pathogen Uromyces viciae-fabae is a devastating disease and one of the major biotic constraints that can limit lentil production. Even though the northwest of Algeria is known for lentil production, there is no detailed information regarding the distribution, incidence and severity of lentil rust.

Lentil rust in north-west of Algeria caused by Uromyces viciae-fabae

open access: yes, 2021
The present study aimed to survey and evaluate the lentil rust disease in the northwest of Algeria and to provide more information regarding the current state of lentil culture to rust disease attacks.

Phylogenetic Analysis of Uromyces Species Infecting Grain and Forage Legumes by Sequence analysis of Nuclear Ribosomal Internal Transcribed Spacer Region

open access: yes, 2014
DNA sequence analysis of the nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer region (ITS) was performed to determine phylogenetic relationship between 49 isolates of rusts infecting grain and forage legumes. Isolates were collected from different hosts and

THE EFFECTS OF A POLYAMINE BIOSYNTHESIS INHIBITOR ON INFECTION OF VICIA FABA L. BY THE RUST FUNGUS, UROMYCES VICIAE‐FABAE (PERS.) SCHROET [PDF]

open access: yesNew Phytologist, 1986
SUMMARYThe effects of the polyamine biosynthesis inhibitor, difluoromethylomithine (DFMO), on rust infection of the broad bean have been examined. DFMO was sprayed onto leaves at 0.025, 0.1 and 0.4 mM before and after inoculation. DFMO was also applied to leaf halves in order to examine the possible translocation of the inhibitor to untreated leaf ...

Relation Between Rust (Uromyces viciae-fabae) and Faba Bean (Vicia Faba) Yield Loss in Bale Highlands, South Eastern Ethiopia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In Ethiopia, Uromyces viciae-fabae is one of the most destructive biotic constraints for faba bean production. Information on the management and yield losses are inadequate in the Bale highlands where the crop is largely produced.

Occurence of broad bean rust (Uromyces viciae-fabae) in 2015 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015

Secreted proteins of Uromyces fabae : similarities and stage specificity

open access: yes, 2008
Uromyces fabae on Vicia faba is a model system for obligate biotrophic interactions. Searching for potential effector proteins we investigated the haustorial secretome of U.
