Simulation-based optimization for an origami-shaped canopy
This study perceives the developing process of Simulation-based Optimization (SBO), using Octopus® for Grasshopper®. This investigation aimed to optimize an Origami-inspired canopy designed to admit solar radiation and daylight in transitional spaces. As

Meter‐Scale Ultra‐Large‐Area Flexible Electroluminescent Devices Enabled by Aerosol Spraying
This work presents a simple aerosol spraying method using modified luminescent ink to fabricate meter‐scale flexible alternating current electroluminescent (ACEL) devices. Enhanced particle dispersibility and film uniformity yield impressive brightness up to 500 cd m−2, positioning these devices as effective luminous navigation signs for industrial ...

Off‐Grid Solar Systems: An Experimental Work and Systematic Techno‐Economic Analysis
In the study mentioned above, experimental monitoring and economic evaluation of two off‐grid PV systems were conducted using a low‐cost data logger. The results suggest that basic DC systems are economically feasible compared to grid power, but that AC systems require further cost‐cutting to achieve financial viability.

Impact of final design on daylight provision [PDF]
Daylight analysis informs design decisions in architectural spaces, yet materials, colours, and furnishings - often chosen later - can significantly impact indoor daylighting.

The establishment of climate-based daylight modeling within research and practice has led to a fundamental reassessment of both the basis and purpose of daylight metrics. Whilst there is no consensus yet on the precise nature of the metric(s) that should replace the daylight factor, it is generally agreed that these should be founded on climate-based ...

Abstract Heterogeneous landscape leads to large variations of urban microclimate in all dimensions, yet the vertical variability of meteorological elements within the urban canopy layer (UCL) has been rarely examined. In the present study, we developed an urban vertical diffusion model coupled with a single‐layer urban canopy model.

ABSTRACT Background Light changes during the lunar cycle affect rhythms in diverse species. Human studies focusing on whether the moon influences human health have so far neglected the effects of light/dark cycles. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether lunar phases impact perinatal outcomes by considering illumination levels due to day ...

The Use Of Daylight For Interior Illumination System With Window Shade Reflector
In recent years, the electric power consumption is needed to reconsider due to global warming and other environmental issues. In order to reduce electric power consumption in office buildings and houses, new illumination system may be a good step to start as illumination system uses about 20-30% electric power in any offices or houses.
