Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Investigation of Factor Effect Individuals Investment intention in Tehran Stock Exchange [PDF]

open access: yesپژوهشهای اقتصادی, 2009
For identifying factors effect Individuals Investment intention in Tehran Stock Exchange, we employed a 28-items questionnaire among 450 persons. Cronbachs alpha was equaled 0.871 and depicted a good reliability.

Utility-Based Utility [PDF]

open access: yes
A major virtue of von Neumann-Morgenstern utilities, for example, in the theory of general financial equilibrium (GFE), is that they ensure time consistency: consumption-portfolio plans (for the future) are in fact executed (in the future) — assuming ...

Tumor and germline testing with next generation sequencing in epithelial ovarian cancer: a prospective paired comparison using an 18‐gene panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Genetic testing in epithelial ovarian cancer includes both germline and tumor‐testing. This approach often duplicates resources. The current prospective study assessed the feasibility of tumor‐first multigene testing by comparing tumor tissue with germline testing of peripheral blood using an 18‐gene NGS panel in 106 patients.

Cumulative Prospect Theory for Parametric and Multiattribute Utilities [PDF]

open access: yes
In cumulative prospect theory models, different behavior concerning gains and losses is per-mitted. For gains different decision weights are assigned than for losses, and the shape of utility can reveal loss aversion.

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Expected Utility Theory without the Completeness Axiom [PDF]

open access: yes
We study axiomatically the problem of obtaining an expected utility representation for a potentially incomplete preference relation over lotteries by means of a set of von Neumann-Morgenstern utility functions. It is shown that, when the prize space is a

Completed power operations for Morava E-theory

open access: yes, 2015
We construct and study an algebraic theory which closely approximates the theory of power operations for Morava E-theory, extending previous work of Charles Rezk in a way that takes completions into account.
