Genetic Characterization of Measles Vaccine Strains [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Infectious Diseases, 2011
AbstractThe complete genomic sequences of 9 measles vaccine strains were compared with the sequence of the Edmonston wild-type virus. AIK-C, Moraten, Rubeovax, Schwarz, and Zagreb are vaccine strains of the Edmonston lineage, whereas CAM-70, Changchun-47, Leningrad-4 and Shanghai-191 were derived from 4 different wild-type isolates.

Genome stability of the vaccine strain VAC∆6

open access: yesVavilov Journal of Genetics and Breeding, 2022
Due to cessation of mass smallpox vaccination in 1980, the collective immunity of humans against orthopoxvirus infections has virtually been lost. Therefore, the risk of spreading zoonotic human orthopoxvirus infections caused by monkeypox and cowpox viruses has increased in the world.

Effective vaccination against rabies in puppies in rabies endemic regions. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In rabies endemic regions, a proportionally higher incidence of rabies is often reported in dogs younger than 12 months of age, which includes puppies less than 3 months of age; this presents a serious risk to public health.

Postvaccinal reovirus infection with high mortality in breeder chicks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A broiler breeder flock was subcutaneously vaccinated at the hatchery with a live avian orthoreovirus (ARV) vaccine against viral arthritis. Chicks began to die at 3 days of age and postmortem examination revealed massive subcutaneous hemorrhages and ...

In vitro permissivity of bovine cells for wild-type and vaccinal myxoma virus strains

open access: yesVirology Journal, 2007
Myxoma virus (MYXV), a leporide-specific poxvirus, represents an attractive candidate for the generation of safe, non-replicative vaccine vector for non-host species.
