A STUDY OF VACUUM FREEZE-DRYING OF FROZEN WET PAPERS [PDF]
Vacuum freeze-drying of frozen wet papers was investigated experimentally. A freeze-drying facility was built to study the process by monitoring the various physical parameters (pressure, sample temperature, heater temperature, water content of the sample and cold panel temperature). A simple phenomenological model was developed to explain experimental

Distribution of Vapor Pressure in the Vacuum Freeze‐Drying Equipment [PDF]
In the big vacuum freeze‐drying equipment, the drying rate of materials is uneven at different positions. This phenomenon can be explained by the uneven distribution of vapor pressure in chamber during the freeze‐drying process. In this paper, a mathematical model is developed to describe the vapor flow in the passageways either between material plates

Researches on Vacuum Freeze-Drying
The rate of sublimation dehydration by the process of Vacuum freeze-drying was investigated after our former reports on the researches of sublimation of ice. Analyses of the temperature distribution in the sublimating materials by numerical methods and of the ideal drying-characteristics were presented. In the above analysis, the rate-determining steps

Study of vacuum and freeze drying of bee honey
The aim of this research is to study the drying kinetics of vacuum-dried and freeze-dried bee honey produced from two different varieties: Sunflower honey (Helianthus Annuus L.) and Acacia honey (Robinia pseudo acacia L.). Vacuum drying treatments were carried out with the honey samples? initial temperatures of +25?C, ?20?C, and ?40?C.

Mathematical model of vacuum freeze-drying in the secondary drying [PDF]
The freeze-drying process is a complex heat and mass transfer process virtually. The drying process of freeze-drying is not only the key stage which decides the success of freeze-drying, but also the most difficult stage to control. There are lots of papers about heat and mass transfer in vacuum freeze drying at home and abroad.

The effect of vacuum freeze-drying and radiation on allogeneic aorta grafts
Vacuum freeze-dried aorta is a satisfactory material for blood vessel grafting. Previous studies have focused on immunity, however, vacuum freeze-drying is a complicated process of heat and mass transfer, and adopting a programmed cooling process may more completely preserve the mechanical properties of the blood vessels.

Drying Behaviors of Mint Leaves in Vacuum Freeze Drying
In this study, the drying behavior of mint which is one of the medicinal plants in freeze-drying was investigated. The products were dried at three different temperatures (40, 50, 60oC) and three different pressures (30, 50, 80 kPa) in a freeze-drying system designed as a prototype. Drying time is decreased with increasing cabin pressure.
