Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting on Microaxial Flow Pump Support in Patients With Severely Reduced Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
Coronary artery revascularization with microaxial flow pump support in patients with severely reduced left ventricular ejection fraction is an emerging technique in cardiac surgery. In this manuscript, we present early results, highlight the advantages, and discuss the key limitations of this approach.

Dual Targeting of Aurora‐A and Bcl‐xL Synergistically Reshapes the Immune Microenvironment and Induces Apoptosis in Breast Cancer

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
The combination of the Aurora‐A kinase inhibitor MLN8237 and the BH3 mimetic ABT263 enhanced anti‐tumor immunity by boosting CD8+ T cells and natural killer cells, while reducing immunosuppressive cells in the tumor microenvironment. It induced apoptosis via extrinsic and intrinsic pathways with minimal toxicity, offering a promising therapeutic ...

Dauricine Overcomes Osimertinib Resistance in Lung Cancer by Inducing Ferroptosis via Stabilizing SAT1

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Our study explores the potential of dauricine, a bioactive compound from Menispermum dauricum, to overcome osimertinib resistance in lung cancer. We demonstrate that dauricine, when combined with osimertinib, induces ferroptosis in resistant lung cancer cells by stabilizing SAT1, a key enzyme in oxidative stress regulation.

Dystopia and Hope: The Interrelation of Pandemic and Ecological Discourses in Drawings by Children in Sweden During the First Wave of the COVID‐19 Pandemic

open access: yesChildren &Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Research on young people's perspectives on COVID‐19 remains limited. This qualitative serial picture analysis of Swedish children's drawings, predominately from spring 2020 (N = 169), aimed to explore their views and meaning‐making processes. The focus was on the interconnections of two global crises in the drawings–pandemic and environmental ...
