A Single‐Metal‐Doped Nanoplatform for Ferroptosis‐Driven cGAS‐STING Pathway Activation in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 18, 2 March 2026.
The cGAS‐STING pathway boosts HCC antitumor immunity but lacks specific activation. Nanoplatform ZMRPF induces HCC ferroptosis via lipid ROS, releasing mtDNA. It synergizes with ZMRPF‐released Mn2⁺ to activate cGAS‐STING, amplifies antigen‐presenting cell activity, reverses HCC immunosuppression, and enables robust systemic antitumor immunity ...

In Situ Synthesis of Covalent Organic Frameworks Inside Cells for Triggering Ferroptosis and Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 16, 17 March 2026.
We have developed an intracellular crystalline polymerization strategy involving acid‐catalyzed imine condensation to synthesize COFs in lysosomes. The generation of COFs in lysosomes damages their integrity, activates iron species, and induces immunogenic ferroptosis, thereby enhancing antitumor immunotherapy.

Updates on vascular dementia

open access: yesStroke and Vascular Neurology
Vascular dementia (VaD) is the second leading cause of dementia after Alzheimer’s disease (AD). In comparison to AD, there is a decline in the incidence of VaD due to recent improvements in cardiovascular risk factors. Brain hypoperfusion and hypoxia due

From Fiber Architecture to Functional Attachment: A Clinically Relevant, Mechanically Tunable Cardiac Patch

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 17, 20 March 2026.
A personalizable platform featuring a multi‐zonal cardiac patch design at clinical scale enables precise customization of fiber architecture at micro‐ and macroscale via melt electrowriting. Distinct scaffold zones support cell alignment with mechanical force transfer and epicardial attachment.

Changes in adiponectin system after ventricular assist device in pediatric heart failure

open access: yesJHLT Open
Background: Ventricular assist device (VAD) implant represents a therapeutic option for pediatric patients with end-stage heart failure (HF). Heart unloading by VAD can modify several molecular pathways underlying cardiac function in HF.

Depth‐Invariant High‐Resolution Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) has become an indispensable tool for visualizing and quantifying in vivo blood flow due to its motion‐contrast‐based label‐free flow detection capabilities. However, in various applications, its effectiveness is hindered by signal degradation due to scattering, absorption, and depth‐dependent defocus ...

ERM Inhibition Confers Ferroptosis Resistance through ROS‐Induced NRF2 Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 16, 18 March 2026.
ERM inhibition disrupts ERM‐actin interactions, elevating ROS and triggering KEAP1 degradation, which stabilizes and activates NRF2. Nuclear NRF2 induces cytoprotective genes, notably HMOX1, enhancing redox buffering and suppressing lipid peroxidation to resist erastin‐induced ferroptosis.

Irradiated Tumor Cell‐Derived Microparticles Activate Systemic Anti‐Tumor Immunity via the STING/NLRP3/GSDMD Axis in Neutrophils

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 16, 18 March 2026.
Radiotherapy induces tumor cells to release microparticles (RT‐MPs) into the circulation. The mitochondrial DNA carried by these RT‐MPs activates the STING/NLRP3/GSDMD axis in splenic neutrophils, triggering IL‐1β secretion. This, in turn, enhances dendritic cell function and facilitates the formation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes, thereby promoting ...
