Tonic signaling of the B‐cell antigen‐specific receptor is a common functional hallmark in chronic lymphocytic leukemia cell phosphoproteomes at early disease stages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

Primacy of theory? Exploring perspectives on validity in conceptual psychometrics

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology
Several conceptions of validity have emphasized the contingency of validity on theory. Here we revisit several contributions to the discourse on the concept of validity, which we consider particularly influential or insightful.

Data‐driven discovery of gene expression markers distinguishing pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia subtypes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates gene expression differences between two major pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) subtypes, B‐cell precursor ALL, and T‐cell ALL, using a data‐driven approach consisting of biostatistics and machine learning methods. Following analysis of a discovery dataset, we find a set of 14 expression markers differentiating the ...

Circulating tumor DNA monitoring and blood tumor mutational burden in patients with metastatic solid tumors treated with atezolizumab

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In patients treated with atezolizumab as a part of the MyPathway (NCT02091141) trial, pre‐treatment ctDNA tumor fraction at high levels was associated with poor outcomes (radiographic response, progression‐free survival, and overall survival) but better sensitivity for blood tumor mutational burden (bTMB).

How to Assess Oral Narrative Skills of Children and Adolescents with Intellectual Disabilities: A Systematic Review

open access: yesBehavioral Sciences
Children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities (ID) often encounter difficulties with narrative skills. Yet, there is a lack of research focusing on how to assess these skills in this population.

Robust and efficient validation of the linear hexahedral element

open access: yes, 2017
Checking mesh validity is a mandatory step before doing any finite element analysis. If checking the validity of tetrahedra is trivial, checking the validity of hexahedral elements is far from being obvious.

The translation, validity and reliability of the German version of the Fremantle Back Awareness Questionnaire [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Background: The Fremantle Back Awareness Questionnaire (FreBAQ) claims to assess disrupted self-perception of the back. The aim of this study was to develop a German version of the Fre-BAQ (FreBAQ-G) and assess its test-retest reliability, its known ...
